"Then I'll Be Free To Travel Home"
Radio Series: Distributed by
PRI
Downloadable
Press Kit
and Other
Downloads
The current
“complete” download files are so large
that you should not attempt to download them unless
you have DSL or a cable modem or better (T1, T3,
OC-48, etc.).
The two ZIP files above contain
all of the Press Kit elements and the entire first
hour-long segment of the show in the form of MP3
files, respectively.
The Press Kit ZIP file contains text documents with
the copy for the press release page, the biographies
page, and the show description and summaries page. It
also contains a PDF file containing the print ad and
various JPEG picture files that are associated with
the biographies. Check the README file for a more
complete description of the Press Kit contents.
The First Segment MP3s ZIP file contains six MP3
files, each of which runs for approximately ten
minutes. When played sequentially, they recreate the
entire first show of the thirteen-part "Then I'll Be
Free To Travel Home" series.
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY
DOWNLOADED THE TWO ZIP FILES ABOVE, THERE IS NOTHING
MORE THAT YOU NEED.
THE FOLLOWING SECTION PROVIDES DOWNLOADS FOR
INDIVIDUAL COMPONENTS ALREADY REPRESENTED IN THE TWO
LARGE ZIP FILES ABOVE.
Dial-Up
Downloads
Press
Kit
If you are using a dial-up
modem, you may wish to download each of the press kit
elements and first segment MP3 files
individually.
Except for the two-and-a-half minute small MP3
excerpts, all of those files are already available
between the two ZIP file links above. The only
advantage to downloading the files separately is that
you can pick and choose which files to download.
The first individual Press Kit component component
for download is a copy of the print ad. However, this
is the largest single component of the Press Kit
(about 4.7Mb). So, you may want to skip it, because,
if you have enough time to wait for this download,
you could probably tolerate the wait for downloading
the complete Press Kit above (about 5.7Mb).
The next set of Press Kit
components are the text files. There are three sets
of textual copy: the Press Release document, the
Biographies document, and the Program Description
(Summaries) document.
Each of those documents are avalable in three forms:
raw text, Rich Text Format (RTF), and MS Word format.
The textual contents conveyed by each of the three
formats is identical. Therefore, the quickest way to
download the information is to select a desired
format and then download each of the documents only
in that format.
The next three sections provide
photos associated with the biographies.
The photos are of varying sizes and degrees of compression.
Each section is for a different team member.
The remaining three files are
miscellaneous components of the Press Kit.
Check the README file for more
information about use of the Press Kit elements.

Dial-Up Downloads
MP3 Audio Files
This final segment of the download page
is dedicated to the individual MP3 files that represent the
first hour-long segment of the thirteen-hour series.
The first set of six MP3 files below are identical to the
contents of the "First Segment MP3s" ZIP file offered in
the first section at the top of the page.
Each of these files is between five and six megabytes,
so the dial-up download time for each is still signigicant.
The section below this offers four smaller MP3 files
that are equivalent in audio content to the first MP3
file in this section.
These last four files are smaller MP3 files (approximately 1.5
Mb each) that are two-and-a-half minute extracts that combined
contain the same audio content as the Part1 extract in the
section above.
These files are intended for dial-up visitors who wish to here
a sample of the program content, but can not afford to wait
for the download of any of the larger MP3 files in the section
above.
As with the Press Kit elements above, if you have any questions
or suggestions about these audio clips, please contact Creative
PR at 888-233-5650 or
e-mail us.
