We are proud to announce commencement of production on a new radio series: “Every Voice, and Sing!”
The 5-part series explores the social/political context of the Civil War/Reconstruction era that brought about the formation of these Historically Black Colleges and Universities and their amazing Singing Groups. The project is another collaborative production of EVT Educational Productions, Inc. and JAZZ88.3FM WBGO Radio of Newark, New Jersey. For more information on this exciting new production, check out our September 21, 2007 press release. In 2004, we produced “Then I’ll Be Free To Travel Home”, a 13-part documentary series that uses the discovery and legacy of the New York African Burial Ground to tellingly capture the significant impact and contributions African-Americans have made to the social, economic, and political development of the United States in their almost 400-year battle against slavery and for full, first-class citizenship.
